Op Vulture - FERGUSON Court Result

West Lancashire Residents,

I am just emailing to pass the following information to make residents aware of the positive result actioned on FERGUSON at court yesterday.

Ferguson was remanded and appeared before Magistrates on 16/04/2025 whereby he has received 5 months imprisonment for his actions. He was also made subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order with conditions that prohibit him entering the following places;

๐Ÿ“ The Concourse Shopping Centre

๐Ÿ“ Shell Garage, Grimshaw Road

๐Ÿ“ Digmoor Parade Shopping Precinct

๐Ÿ“ Any retail premises in Parbold

๐Ÿ“ The village of Dalton

Sgt Newman of West Lancashire police said: โ€œThis is a really positive result and I am particularly pleased that the Criminal Behaviour Order has been granted by the courts which will give us additional powers to deal with Ferguson should he decide to reoffend on his release. We will not stand for shoplifting in West Lancashire and will be taking this robust approach to other shoplifting offenders. Iโ€™d like to thank our business community in providing us with the evidence to help secure this conviction and we will continue to work closely with our partners as part of Op Vulture to reduce Shoplifting in the area.โ€

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabularyโ€™s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.

Kind regards,
